Florists in Ponsonby, Auckland — flower shops on Ponsonby Road and Mackelvie Street, cut-offs and delivery fees

Ponsonby has three florists with shopfronts: Brooklyn Flowers on Mackelvie Street, Greenpoint at 80 Ponsonby Road and Camellia & Co at 133 Ponsonby Road. All three deliver across Auckland. For a same-day order, Brooklyn Flowers and Greenpoint take orders until 2pm on weekdays and Camellia & Co until 1pm. Delivery inside Ponsonby costs $10 to $20.

Everything below is each shop's own published terms, read from its website on 1 November 2026. Cut-offs and fees change, especially around Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and Christmas, so check the shop's page or ring before you rely on one.

The three at a glance

• Brooklyn Flowers (65 Mackelvie Street): same-day by 2pm weekdays, 10am Saturday. $10 to Ponsonby, Herne Bay, Freemans Bay and Grey Lynn; $15 to most of Auckland.
• Greenpoint (80 Ponsonby Road): same-day by 2pm weekdays within about 3km, noon Saturday. $20 same-day within 3km, $25 to greater Auckland.

Brooklyn Flowers — 65 Mackelvie Street

Just off Ponsonby Road on Mackelvie Street, open 8am to 5pm on weekdays and 9am to 4pm on Saturday, closed Sunday. Its delivery page has the cheapest local fee and the clearest table: $10 to central Ponsonby, Herne Bay, Freemans Bay and Grey Lynn, $15 to the CBD and the rest of metro Auckland including the North Shore, and $25 to rural areas. Same-day orders close at 2pm on weekdays and 10am on Saturday. Business deliveries to the wider city need ordering before 10:30am. After 2pm, its page says a local same-day delivery may still be possible if you ring.

Greenpoint — 80 Ponsonby Road

A boutique florist at the Karangahape Road end of Ponsonby Road. Its shipping page prices delivery by distance rather than suburb, and charges a little more for same-day than for a booked date:

• Central Auckland (within 3km of the shop): $20 same-day, $18 next-day or a chosen date. Weekday cut-off 2pm, business addresses noon; Saturday noon.
• Greater Auckland: $25. Weekday cut-off noon, business addresses 10am; Saturday 10am.

The homepage banner says 2pm for all of Auckland, but the detailed page gives noon for outer areas, so plan on the earlier time if the address is outside the central 3km.

Camellia & Co — 133 Ponsonby Road

Further up Ponsonby Road, with a second shop on Richardson Road in Mount Roskill. The Ponsonby shop has the longest hours of the three: 9am to 6pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 7pm Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. Its delivery page gives a same-day cut-off of 1pm, subject to flower and driver availability, and fees of $10 to eligible nearby addresses and $15 across wider Auckland, with an address checker at checkout. Pickup from either shop is free. It doesn't say whether it delivers on Sunday, so ask if you need one.

Which Ponsonby florist has the latest same-day cut-off?

Brooklyn Flowers and Greenpoint, both at 2pm on weekdays. Greenpoint's 2pm only covers addresses within about 3km of the shop; for the rest of Auckland it is noon. Camellia & Co closes same-day orders at 1pm. On a Saturday, order by 10am at Brooklyn Flowers or by noon at Greenpoint for a central address.

How much is flower delivery in Ponsonby?

$10 to $20 to a Ponsonby address, going by the published fees. Brooklyn Flowers and Camellia & Co both charge $10 for nearby addresses, and Brooklyn names Ponsonby, Herne Bay, Freemans Bay and Grey Lynn as its $10 zone. Greenpoint charges $20 for same-day within 3km and $18 for a booked date. To the rest of metro Auckland it is $15 at Brooklyn and Camellia, $25 at Greenpoint.

Can you get flowers in Ponsonby on a Sunday?

You can buy them: Camellia & Co's Ponsonby Road shop is open 9am to 4pm on Sunday. Delivery is harder. Brooklyn Flowers is closed on Sunday, and neither Greenpoint nor Camellia & Co publishes Sunday delivery. Sending flowers to Auckland City Hospital or Starship

Auckland City Hospital and Starship are in Grafton, a couple of kilometres from Ponsonby Road and inside the central zone for all three shops. Say it is a hospital delivery when you order and give the patient's full name and ward; some wards don't accept flowers, so check first.
