Florists on the North Shore, Auckland — Takapuna, Birkenhead, Browns Bay and Albany cut-offs and delivery fees

The North Shore has florists with shopfronts in Takapuna, Birkenhead, Birkdale, Browns Bay and Albany, and all five deliver across Auckland. For a same-day order, Albany Florist publishes the latest weekday cut-off of the five (2pm), Ann Cheshire in Birkenhead takes orders until 1pm, and Bays Flowers in Browns Bay until 11:30am. None of them delivers on an ordinary Sunday.

Everything below is each shop's own published terms, read from its website on 31 October 2026. Cut-offs and fees change, especially around Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and Christmas, so check the shop's page or ring before you rely on one.

Albany Florist — 6/51 William Pickering Drive, Albany

In the Albany business park off William Pickering Drive. Its policies page gives a same-day cut-off of 2pm Monday to Friday and 9:30am on Saturday. Delivery across metro Auckland is free on online orders over $80 and $15 below that; listed rural areas are $25 over $80 and $35 under. It does not deliver on Sundays or public holidays, except Mother's Day Sunday or a Valentine's Day that falls on a Sunday, and it does not cover the far outer areas such as Waiheke Island and Warkworth.

Ann Cheshire Florist — 27 Mokoia Road, Birkenhead

On Mokoia Road in Birkenhead village, open 9am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 9:30am to 4pm on Saturday (North Shore page). Its shipping policy prices delivery by postcode: $10 for the local postcodes 0626 and 0627, $15 for most Auckland suburbs, $18 for postcode 0632 and $25 for rural areas around Auckland. Same-day delivery needs the order in before 1pm. No Sunday or public holiday deliveries, with the same Mother's Day and Valentine's exceptions as Albany.

Bays Flowers — 32 Anzac Road, Browns Bay

Shop 2 on Anzac Road in Browns Bay, open 9am to 5:30pm weekdays and 9am to 3pm on Saturday. Its delivery page has the most detailed fee table on the Shore, and the earliest cut-off: same-day across Auckland only for orders in before 11:30am, Monday to Friday. Saturday deliveries need ordering by the end of Friday, and a website order placed on a Sunday goes out on Monday.

• Local North Shore (Browns Bay, Torbay, Mairangi Bay and nearby): $15.
• Wider North Shore, central suburbs and the CBD: $18.
• Rodney (Orewa, Silverdale, Whangaparāoa): $30; Manly, Wainui and Army Bay: $35.
• South Auckland and further out: $22 to $45 by area.

Pretty Posies — 4 Birkdale Road, Birkdale

At Verrans Corner in Birkdale, open 8:30am to 4pm on weekdays and 8:30am to 2pm on Saturday. Its site offers same-day delivery Auckland-wide and free delivery on orders over $199 (rural addresses excluded), but it doesn't publish a cut-off time or a per-suburb fee. With a 4pm weekday close, order in the morning if you need it delivered today.

Florienne — 60A Hurstmere Road, Takapuna

On Hurstmere Road in central Takapuna, open 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 9am to 2pm on Saturday, closed Sundays and public holidays. Its site says it delivers to Takapuna, the North Shore, the CBD and greater Auckland, but it publishes no cut-off or delivery fee, so ask when you order. Its terms note a summer closure from 3pm on 24 December until 10 January.

Which North Shore florist has the latest same-day cut-off?

Albany Florist, at 2pm on weekdays, followed by Ann Cheshire in Birkenhead at 1pm and Bays Flowers in Browns Bay at 11:30am. On a Saturday, Albany Florist's cut-off is 9:30am and Bays Flowers needs the order by Friday. Pretty Posies and Florienne don't publish a time, so ring them before midday.

Can you get flowers delivered on a Sunday on the North Shore?

How much is flower delivery on the North Shore?

Between nothing and $18 for most North Shore addresses, going by the published fees. Albany Florist delivers free on online orders over $80 ($15 under). Ann Cheshire charges $10 for its local postcodes and $15 for most suburbs. Bays Flowers charges $15 around the East Coast Bays and $18 for the rest of the Shore. Rodney addresses cost more: $30 to $35 from Bays Flowers.

Sending flowers to North Shore Hospital or a rest home

North Shore Hospital is on Shakespeare Road in Takapuna, central to all five shops. Say it's a hospital delivery when you order, and give the patient's full name and ward; some wards don't accept flowers, so check with the ward first.
